Confusion this morning. We had been thinking for over a week that we had to start our home-run today, but when we checked our plan, we found that we could stay till Monday. The overcast, damp morning and late night last night certainly didn't encourage lively action! Discussions ensued, and we decided to stay put today not doing a lot, then move tomorrow holding one day still in hand.
A slow walk to the local shops and extra coffee took us to lunchtime, by which time the cloud was starting to lift. Another slow walk during the afternoon to the local shops on the Edgeware Road took us till teatime.
Dinner aboard, then games till early bedtime (recovering!). For the first time at Paddington, the wind did not pick up, and we managed to have the windows open on a fine clear evening.
