On arrival at the inner basin on Tuesday, we had noted that there was to be a "Dragon Boat" race today in the basin, and that the berths had been suspended. After consultation with the local BW information office (it had not been open yesterday) we moved into the outer basin after taking water, with the intention of moving back after the race was finished.

Finally got away for our day's sightseeing - a trip to The (now Royal) London Hospital (recently dramatised in the BBC series "Casualty 1906, '07 and '09". Although a very small museum, a fascinating insight into medicine at the turn of the century. Had lunch at the "Blind Beggar" pub highlighted in the series (also known to have later been frequented by the Kray twins)

After lunch, moved on to Tower Hill and visited the Merchant Navy memorials, before returning to the boat via Hamley's toy shop (essential!).

Dinner board. Consultation with race officials suggested they would be finished by around 21:15, so kept an eye out.
